Ive read this topic, and this is my idea for a totally new show. Based upon what Steven Henson wrote. This show would be based upon the same guidelines as the sports show Joes vs Pros, but it would be with video games :) whats everyone think???

If this was a hardcore competitive gamer show they would be on PCs half the time and not be sending people home over a banana peel.

I am going to agree with Jowdat, the whole show is a mess. I am not impressed by the selection of gamers they have chosen, a lot of these people are no better than someone you could find at a local internet cafe. The only underlining difference between these gamers and a lot of other professional gamers is that they can't be bother to sign up for t.v. shows. Just because these select few people actually have signed up doesn't mean they are actually good, a lot of people will agree with me on that.

ok first off the guys and the girls in the show seem like they yes they don't know how to play certain games but over all are good gamers i mean if they can pick up a game for the first time and be that good u have to give them some credit plus they edit the footage of the show so we dont get the whole showing of what they can do but i do agree they should pick real gamers for the show and im not talking about the ones the only pick one genre im talking normal guys that would normally be an under dog against the all ready famous gamers normal people the overall best gamers not the ones that spend all theyre time on mw2 and run around with a grenade launcher u know who u are i mean if you spend all your time on cod or counterstrike of course ull be good they need to broaden they're horizon on the gamers they shouldent pick a person who has a bunch of history in shooters and never played ddr to compete they need to go over all the gamers that can pick up a game and with in a hour be able to understand and actully compete in the game not som guy that spends all his time on wow or cod

So you're trying to tell me people watch these guys play to see if they are good? They just ask them questions!!!! I come in first in all of the Halo 3, COD4, and MW2 tournys around here and I don't see me getting picked. I play Tekken 6 with that arcade stick for hours a day! I want one of these guys in the house to invite me to any game any day!

I smash in most games and have won quiet a bit of gamestop, EB, and VA tournaments(highest level I have competed so far but hey money is money.) For proof that X-Box are not like that look at the players, except for AJ. Those girls are hotter then any of you have had or ever will.

This is true, last season was an EPIC fail as everyone was bragging about how good they are at this or that but when it came to it they just sucked it up. The long haired guy turning out t be a big cry baby with the giant ego of a gnome. The finale consited of a snowboarding game, GEARS 2 AND SOUL CALIBUR 4 (two of my better games) and they both sucked it up MASSIVELY. I remember one guy stating how his shotty game was superb but all the shots of him using shotgun said otherwise about 500miles away. and SC4... if only they know how to block it could have gone one sided easily. Needless to say an ULTIMATE gamer would be able to adapt and play considerably due to any game circumstance. They practiced for like 40 hours straight on tekken 6 and in the end STILL sucked it up says quite a lot in the 'ultimate' sense. I would like to say true, lets get out of MTV flavored children and get the real gamers out there, but this is TV and alas we shall never see it...

Why are people getting so mad? All these gamers were tested and have skills in a verity of games.

I can tell you seem to be really pissed for some reason. But believe me 80-90% of the gamers in this house are professional meaning, they picked up a game became extremely good and competed for money, and have won. I'v competed in Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike:Source for years now winning countless tournaments. Every other game has put their work into practice and gaming for countless hours.

My forum post was exactly this point, I turned on to the show to watch gamers game, not the next season of road rules or the show where you get voted off the island, it's supposed to be about gamers. These people wouldnt know a REAL gamer if they got hit over the head with a wireless joystick by one. My dad was a gamer (I never met him) and I have played since original atari 2600. Yes that gives away my age a little but oh well. the point is that sadly gaming has been reduced to who can get the most "achievemenets" on an xbox game not, who can put in a 140 hours of gameplay a week challenging yourself working yourself to become better and recognizing that what you DO isnt a job it's a lifestyle. These people are so evil it's ridiculous. I hope, like you do that the next show is about gamers and not about fake people who arent willing to show their game.

I mean she does not have a big name at all and got onto the show by opening her back door to the co-host Joel. She was right about one thing she dresses trashy and isn't hardcore. Mike got beat in tekken by a girl who were both mashing. Is this a gamer? He didn't know about tekken. Christ I played tekken when I was 4. Sebasten was the worse. I am wondering was he a bone in his father's back also. His face was so vulnerable when he was trying to boss up. I guess his princess will always be in another castle.
