| A challenge involving an mmorpg such as WoW? | ||
Not to mention that Lvl 80's already come with about 2 billion spells to learn. There is no way to reliably judge a player's skill in WoW unless it is all hardcore WoW players. Plus the whole Crit/Hit % and you have a broken game when talking skill only. It would be very good to see Starcraft being played though. I have seen players get good fast playing maybe 2-3 hours a day for a week. Given that a gamer on the show is dedicated enough to work, they could become a threat pretty quick if they can learn to adapt fast enough. Of course, this is all speculation until Blizzard allows its games to be broadcast on national television. xTAKExAxSEATx posted on Dec. 9, 2010, 7:27 p.m. no offense but their is really no reason to put it on this game because it takes more than a week to get good at and since its and exp game the people that know how to level up faster would win hell if u want to do that you should just give em a pokemon gameboy game and see how fast the first person could beat all 8 gym leaders its basically the same thing except of a more complicated level XIII_Khaos posted on Oct. 30, 2010, 12:15 a.m. The gamers they pick up for this show could never handle a game like Starcraft... Johannes Argyne posted on Oct. 29, 2010, 7:20 p.m. There is now way to add arena as a head to head game and it would take way to much time for console casuals to pick up a complex pc game. Plus blizz doesn't like to let games be commercialized east hence why no brood war or sc2 showing up anytime soon despite those being by far the biggest and most competitive esports. Robert Jenkins posted on Oct. 22, 2010, 5:27 a.m. Implying it is possible to be good or bad at an MMO. MMOs do not take SKILL. They take TIME! This show is about games that take some level of SKILL. If MMOs do not require skill, why would it be on this show? Johannes Argyne posted on Oct. 19, 2010, 12:04 p.m. I would think to be wcg ultimate gamer you would have to be good at everything out there and it doesnt matter what game it is just know you have to have experience in everything and if they did do wow I see both sides but what ever they throw at us we have to deliver 187aim posted on Oct. 17, 2010, 4:49 a.m. LOOOOOOL! And for the real life challenge they can dress up and LARP and grind to lvl 80 by poking monsters again and again and again. Screw WoW, has nothing to do with skill. It's just about how long you play. Johannes Argyne posted on Oct. 16, 2010, 7:07 p.m. I agree with Ranger XIII_Khaos posted on Oct. 16, 2010, 9:53 a.m. In my opinion, WoW is too unpredictive. Think about it. What if you were on the show, and lost because you needed one more hit, but it came up as a miss? The fact that your attacks can miss, would add too much of a luck factor. dkArmyRanger posted on Oct. 16, 2010, 5:23 a.m. i really think to be an ultimate gamer u have to at least be decent in any sort of mmorpg. an example ill use is world of warcraft which takes alot of skill and thinking when playing the game. At least one challenge should involve players creating their own characters but be given instant 80's. The elimination challenge would be epic as two players duel each other with their respective class and find out who is better. anybody agree or is this too complicated? or does it make sense?
