| Yaz threw the game.... | ||
Ok then its done their is no reason to talk about it anymore you siad your piece we get the idea we r all cool calm down its all good XIII_Khaos posted on Oct. 30, 2010, 12:13 a.m. I'm more than willing to take on anyone in halo reach, but no one is willing to play me, hell, i'll even give you a month to get good, but no one is willing to step up. =( Trevor Hawkins posted on Oct. 28, 2010, 7:41 p.m. prove it in a game guys calm down no reason for the language XIII_Khaos posted on Oct. 27, 2010, 10:16 p.m. You can't really use that as an excuse, I didn't get picked like Yaz did, that's not my fault. Of the millions of people that applyed, he got picked, that's no ones fault. Regardless, if he didn't practice for Halo, that's his own stupidity at work. You don't train for a month and only train certain aspects of the compitetion, you practice the whole damn thing. Again I will be trying to get on Season 3 if it comes around, and I promise, if I make it on the show, you won't see any lack of practice on my part like Yaz did. Ego only gets you so far, and Yaz had reached the end of the line. Trevor Hawkins posted on Oct. 27, 2010, 5:37 p.m. Trevor just so you know, commenting on the side line is not counted as a thought(just so you know). I wonder, do you have the skill to accomplish at least half of what they did in the season,with millions of people looking at your every move?! No you don't; you're just a critic. True I will give you that, that in a month he should have had some skill. But have you ever thought that he planned on winning the fighting match and winning the game without playing Halo for the winning game? As you could have seen he murdered her on the first game and if he had won the next match he would have won. And by the way you are comparing strength and weaknesses to experience and love for a particular game and choice. lastspartan09 posted on Oct. 26, 2010, 9:19 p.m. Halo isn't exactly the hardest shooter to get decent at. He had 1 month to practice, and if that's his weakness, then why not work at Reach the most? It's obvious you know little to nothing about strength and weaknesses. My worst game is Rock Band/Guitar Hero, but if you gave me a month to get good at it, i'd become god at it knowing their was 100k on the line. Trevor Hawkins posted on Oct. 25, 2010, 9:47 p.m. Trevor if you were looking at the season you would have realized that Yaz admitted even before the finals began that he was not a Halo player. I am not impressed by individuals who sit down and talk when they do not know the full details of anything; it makes you people look and sound dumb. Take a break and look at the profiles on top and you will realize that Kat is a down right Halo player and she deserves her credit, she won it fair. Yaz did not throw the game, he was the best all season hands down, but you cannot become the best in just a month when you play against someone who plays Halo at countless hours. I play Halo and we eat new comers(aka noobs) to Halo. In simple terms to you Trevor and all the other people who think Yaz threw the game; a new comer cannot beat an expert in his game period. Oh and by the way, if being a great gamer is so easy why aren't half of you or more of you trying to get yourself together to be on WCG? lastspartan09 posted on Oct. 24, 2010, 7:11 p.m. You made countless mistakes while playing halo, if I need to, I can go back and watch the game again. The last time I counted, it was at 18 mistakes (and that's from the limited footage they showed on television), being a pro CS player, you know when to push, when to hold back, etc etc. Playing that game at a high level, the knowledge you obtain does transfer over to other games. Your either a liar, or the worlds worst halo player; btw, it's called the DMR. Trevor Hawkins posted on Oct. 22, 2010, 3:13 a.m. Ok, I'm an idiot when I read Kaleb's name I thought it was just some dude talking as Yaz. Then I saw the name below it, and was very humbled. So please know, that I know, I am stupid. TsoBadGuy posted on Oct. 22, 2010, 12:52 a.m. This is for everyone polluting this thread with "Awww, Hakumen OP, counter pick counter pick." 1) V-13 : 11.5 2) Rachel : 9.0 3) Arakune : 6.0 4) Jin : 4.5 5) Carl : 4.0 6) Ragna : 0.0 6) Noel : 0.0 7) Litchi : -1.0 8) Taokaka : -1.5 9) Haku-men : -3.5 10) Bang : -7.0 11) Tager : -15.0 Third from last. SOOOO OP. Seriously, their are gamers, and it's nice of you to contribute your theory craftingish opinion. But when you wanna go up and say some character is over powered have the SLIGHTEST idea what you're talking about. TsoBadGuy posted on Oct. 22, 2010, 12:47 a.m. What game were you guys watching? Yaz didn't throw anything. He got out played in Halo. Hakumen was the WORST character in the first Blazblue (This isn't my opinion, this is a from a tier list), and didn't jump tier much in the expansion. I hope Yaz is not the real Yaz, Kaleb guy, because saying you went out because you were counter-picked is sad and False. You know what I've been doing since my first Fighting game? Jump Heavy Kick, Low Heavy Sweep. Before I learned the fireball I learned this basic mix up. You lost to jumping Heavy Slash into Low Heavy Sweep. You obviously understand 3D fighters much more, because you BOTH picked relatively low-tier characters, and you both played about the same level (Yaz even had a few combos that led me to believe he'd worked on the practice dummy more than Kat). All Hakumen is is his Heavy Slash and his counters. Kat never countered you once, just heavy slash, so I really hope you reconsider that statement about being counter picked, it's very unbecoming and doesn't at all apply to 2 players with such low levels of skill in 2D fighters. You only develop a sense of character counters when you've played the game a lot. Otherwise you just sound like an idiot saying "He counter-picked my Ryu with Dhalsim." The best players don't counter pick, they learn one character inside out and dominate with it. Kat would've chosen Hakumen no matter your pick. It's not that either player didn't want to win enough, they just didn't have enough game sense to pick from the top 3 characters. Which I would do if I was competing under these conditions. X-13 is banned in tournaments, and I bet they were allowed to pick her. Congrats to Kat. TsoBadGuy posted on Oct. 22, 2010, 12:43 a.m. Yaz, you have my respect. Thanks for laying it down brother. Keel3309 posted on Oct. 18, 2010, 9:41 p.m. Thank you Yaz for resolving this conflict cant wait to play against you in any game i know ur a pc gamer im console myself but yea id like to play against you ive already played with jake and jamal on reach so id like to play with u sometime thanx and peace dude GG on UG tho top2 XIII_Khaos posted on Oct. 18, 2010, 1:17 a.m. YEA! TELL IT LIKE IT IS BROTHA! Kaleb Deaver posted on Oct. 17, 2010, 11:35 p.m. I did not in any way what so ever throw the match, believe me my pride is bigger then 50k. I will shed some light on what exactly happened. Blazblue we were preparing for a month, I don't know how but Kat pretty much guessed the character I was using since I was practicing vs some other people in UG, she picked a perfect counter character for me, and used his superior range and strength to destroy me, end of story. During halo, the reason why I used the pistol is because my choice was either that or the battle rifle from long distance.... which isn't even an option. I tried multiple times going for the BR, Snipe, Needle rifle... but I wasn't given the opportunity since she had the sniper and was flying around hovering over the best weapon spawn points I couldn't even get close, she played amazing and had a great strategy coming into it. that's it. Yazan Ammari posted on Oct. 17, 2010, 2:45 p.m. Well I think he did in a way because he sent her to be eliminated so many times he felt bad so he threw it. But you never know 187aim posted on Oct. 17, 2010, 4:51 a.m. 1. Why would he throw it to get $50,000 instead of just winning and getting $100,000? 2. Kat has a fighting game background so that was a no brainier. 3. Kat is AMAZING at Reach I've played her, Yaz played shooters on PC that's why he did good in Iso and elimination. (if you remember his BFBC2 team thought they were gonna lose until they saw the PCs) PC and console is very different. blackmacrokid posted on Oct. 16, 2010, 1:06 p.m. Like I said this show should be callex ultimate xbox gamer . Ultimate gamer means you should be good all games not just xbox to win the 100k. It should not be limited to xbox console only. GanJa85 posted on Oct. 13, 2010, 10:53 p.m. I dunno. I couldnt help but wonder if he threw it while watching. While Kat is behind cover, Yaz was out in the open so many times it isn't even funny. As said before, he's also using the pistol obviously out of it's usable range, while he probably had a decent alternate. In fact, the only other gun I ever saw him with was the shotty, and a grenade launcher for about 10 seconds. Maybe he had honestly never played that map before, and didn't know where any of the weapons were, but being a then unreleased game, they both had the same amount of time to learn the maps. I call shenanigans! cam94z28 posted on Oct. 12, 2010, 8:49 a.m. I'm surprised that you guys actually think there was some deal going on. Kat is very good at Halo and Fighters, I'm not sure why that surprises you that she did so good. Yaz is an excellent gamer, but even the best players can lose. Kat looked more prepared. Jeremy Damen posted on Oct. 10, 2010, 8:13 a.m. Man, I'm so surprised at what people think about this. I went to the actual taping and let me just say that Kat was well prepared. I played with her a few days before the finals and she is VERY GOOD at Reach. I can't say the same for fighters cause I didn't play with that, but she has a solid shot and her snipe is good. Yaz didn't throw the game. He just seriously did not know how not to get killed by Kat. What the show didn't show was that 80% of the game Yaz was sitting in glass box trying to trade shots with Kat (who had two of the spawned snipes). He ran more than shot. It looked like he knew he was going to lose towards the end cause he actually pulled out a needler (not needle rifle, the auto needle gun) after Kat's 13th kill. Ashley Soriano posted on Oct. 10, 2010, 7:48 a.m. There's no good reason Yaz would've thrown the game. A girl winning the show is meaningless because 99% of the fans of the show, and 99% of core gamers are not women. A woman winning a show does what? It makes the feminist men out there cheer? So I don't see a conspiracy between the show's creators and the cast members. And a secret agreement between Yaz and Kat seems unlikely. How would they know the other would go through the agreement? jerryku posted on Oct. 10, 2010, 5:57 a.m. yah this whole show is to show who is the ultimate gamer. Not whose the best xbox player. Halo was chosen cuz of Microsoft. Games like Tron should have been in the finals not Halo. Tron = no plrs had played it/and had plrs figuring it out which is truly showing whose the ultimate gamer. GanJa85 posted on Oct. 10, 2010, 4:59 a.m. I see where yall are coming from with the PC/Console arguement but im a xbox player and even if it was console it wouldnt have been fair the other way around its a challenege to see who is the ultimate gamer that means you have to adapt needles to say i think Kat chose a cheap character agains Yas on Blaz blue but it does not make up for the lack Yaz had why he switched to the pistol instead of BR idk why Kat missed so many headshots while flying around with the BR idk its all wierd reasons but you cant ask for it to be a PC game when other gamers dont play PC thats why the broke the PC out for battlefield i give Kat her props but i do look forward to the challange on Halo or any other shooter I dont hack accounts im str8 legit so yea hit up the gamer tag XIII KHAOS if ya feel like playing Halo reach MW2 MW1 Gears2 Street Fighter 4 Soul Cal and such XIII_Khaos posted on Oct. 10, 2010, 3:21 a.m. I play both PC and console, but as of late, purely PC as I got the RRoD on my box. I could smoke him at halo, and MW2 PC or MW1 PC with ease, or even halo CE PC. Trevor Hawkins posted on Oct. 9, 2010, 9:43 p.m. | ||
